Just 24 minutes in 2024/25

André Silva has almost no chance at RB Leipzig and is expected to leave the club in the winter. According to “Sky”, the Saxons have this project high on the list for the coming transfer window in order to save the salary of the Portuguese, who is under contract until 2026.
So far this season, Silva has played 24 minutes spread over three games. In the DFB Cup he collected his only scorer point with an assist in the 4-1 final score against Rot-Weiss Essen. Given the personnel situation in the squad, there is no improvement in sight; Loïs Openda (24), Benjamin Sesko (21) and Yussuf Poulsen (30) are clearly ahead of him in the striker hierarchy.
There was already a similar situation for Silva last season, when he was loaned out to Real Sociedad San Sebastián. RBL made similar efforts this summer – without success. According to reports, the striker earns around 7 million euros net per year. He received the contract in 2021 when he came from Eintracht Frankfurt for 23 million euros.
