Fabrizio Romano has confirmed, through its social networks, that Borussia Dortmund has executed the purchase option on Yan Couto. The German team has paid some 30 million of euros for the footballer on loan from City, after convincing Nuri Sahin, the coach.
The Brazilian player played on loan at Girona last season. In the Spanish team he performed at a high level, which is why many clubs were interested in him. Finally, Manchester City loaned him to Dortmund with a purchase option, since he was not liked by Guardiola.
The German team is youth training specialist talents. Sancho, Haaland, Hakimi are some of the footballers who went through Borussia and reached a high level, before making the leap to the best teams in Europe.
Couto is not yet a starter in the team, although he has already shown some flashes of quality. The Brazilian player is a fast winger, with a lot of movement and very technical, in the purest style of the ‘Canarinha‘, with which he has been called since 2023.
