Aleksandar Pavlovic has reacted to his new market value. “That’s a nice sign, I’m happy about it. But that’s more of a minor matter. I concentrate on my performance and my job. The sum is difficult to grasp anyway,” said the 20-year-old FC Bayern midfielder to “Bild”. The youngster went from 30 million to 50 million euros – making the biggest jump in this Bundesliga update.

A year ago, Pavlovic celebrated his professional debut in an 8-0 win against Darmstadt 98. Its market value was still 200,000 euros. Since then, Pavlovic has recorded the second largest increase worldwide: only Lamine Yamal (17) from FC Barcelona dwarfs all of them with a jump of 60 million euros. The Munich homegrown player has also reached second place in the ranking of the world’s most valuable six players up to the age of 21 and is only surpassed by Paris’ João Neves (20) with 60 million euros.
In the Bundesliga, Pavlovic is now on a market value level with Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong (23) and his Munich teammates Joshua Kimmich (29) and João Palhinha (29). For the latter it fell by 5 million euros. “Pavlovic has developed into a regular player in Bayern’s midfield in a very short time. He was able to prevail over Palhinha, who was signed by Fulham for 51 million. Pavlovic is considered one of the greatest talents in the world in his position, while Kimmich is still ahead of him in terms of status, but is also slowly reaching an age where the transfer potential is decreasing,” explained market value admin Julius Weißenstein. Pavlovic went from 30th place to the top 10 in the Bundesliga rankings.
The three-time national player is now also at the forefront among German professionals and only has four players ahead of him, including his Munich teammates Leroy Sané (28) and Jamal Musiala (21) with 60 million and 130 million euros respectively. In the history of TM market values since 2004, a total of 14 German footballers have achieved a higher market value than Pavlovic currently. The trend for him is increasing.
