LThe Board of Directors of the Spanish Football Federation, meeting on Friday afternoon, decided to form a Management Committee, with the presidency of Mara ngeles García ChavesThe aforementioned Board has decided that the immediate future of the Federation will involve appointing a president within the current Assembly, thus ruling out initiating the electoral process for the Assembly, something that will be the responsibility of the president elected at the meeting that will be convened next week and that could take place in the last week of September.
The initiation of the electoral process for the Assembly has been ruled out due to the ambiguity of the statutes, which led to the challenge of the process that Pedro Rocha initiated at the time and which was attended to by the Administrative Court of Sport. Therefore, the new president, who everything points to will be the aforementioned García Chaves, will be the one to initiate the steps for the creation of a new Assembly that will elect the new president in the last days of 2024.
The territorial presidents will once again set the pace And now it remains to be seen whether they will reach an agreement to keep the presidency under control in the coming years, more specifically until 2028. The candidate who emerges from this possible agreement, something that happened with Rocha, will have to leave his position in the territory to run for president.
