Galatasaray have booked a flight to take Victor Osimhen to Istanbul tonight after agreeing a loan move with Napoli, but the striker posted a cryptic musical message.
According to Sports Digitale Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the club has organised the private jet that should be landing at the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul at circa 00.30 local time.
Thousands of fans are already trying to get ready to greet him at the airport and put on quite a show for this shock transfer.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has broken his silence – literally – by posting a cryptic Instagram Stories message.
It is a blank image, but the music from an old Nigerian film called ‘Awodi’ and it is suggested this song reflects someone facing a struggle, but still confident that God will ultimately see them through.
This might also be referencing the multiple reports that Napoli will not let Osimhen join Galatasaray on loan until he has extended his current contract with them until June 2027.
That is because if he were to return in 2025 with only one year left on his contract, it would put the Partenopei in a weak bargaining position to negotiate his sale.
Napoli are letting him leave for free as long as Galatasaray cover his €10m salary.
