Como 1907 is back in Serie A after 20 years and has strengthened its promotion squad with 15 new signings for 40.5 million euros. Coach Cesc Fàbregas’ team, which currently consists of 34 players, is set to grow by three more new players, according to information from Gianluca di Marzio.
One of them is Sergi Roberto, whose contract with FC Barcelona was not renewed after 18 years and who is currently without a club. Talks with the 32-year-old midfielder, who has the experience of 373 matches for the Catalans, about a two-year contract are expected to follow shortly. With Raphaël Varane (31), Alberto Moreno (32) and Pepe Reina (42), Fàbregas’ team has already acquired a lot of international experience on a free transfer.
Como in talks with Real Madrid & Man City over Paz & Perrone
In addition, Como’s squad is to be strengthened by two talented players, one of whom is Nico Paz from Real Madrid. The 19-year-old plays in central midfield and made his professional debut for Real Madrid last season. In addition to four brief appearances in LaLiga, he was able to play three times in the Champions League and scored one goal. He mainly plays in the third division for Real Madrid Castilla and scored ten times in 29 games last season. His market value is 10 million euros – if the transfer goes through, he would be the second most valuable player in Como’s team after Varane. According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, it is a permanent transfer including a return option and a share in the resale.
Another transfer target of Como is the 21-year-old Argentinian Máximo Perrone from Manchester City. Last season, the defensive midfielder was on loan to UD Las Palmas and played 29 games in LaLiga. They are working on a loan with an option to buy. As Romano reports, negotiations with all three players are in the final stages.
